Ariat Braemar GTX Boots Review
Ariat’s Braemar GTX boot is a classically designed country boot perfect for slipping on and enjoying all manner of outdoor pursuits. As a premium waterproof, full-grain leather upper it has been integrated with a waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex lining bringing you the ultimate country boot.
Gore-Tex technology means not only are they waterproof, they are extremely breathable which adds to the all-day comfort. Unlike ordinary synthetic textiles like nylon, Gore-Tex stops rain from getting in but allows perspiration out. Being able to withstand water-entry pressures means that boots are great through severe weather conditions. The Gore-Tex also prevents wind-chill by stopping the wind passing through, preserving a comfortable microclimate inside the shoe.
The boots also feature a topline gusset, drawstring toggle, easy-off heel kick feature and the exclusive U-Turn Entry System which makes the Braemar GTX boots easy and efficient to wear. The U-turn Entry System is a true innovation in fit as the flexible gore panel in the back of the shaft allows the boots to be pulled on and off easily no matter what shape the foot is without sacrificing the fit.
The Braemar also utilises waterproof premium leathers for superior exterior protection making the boot durable, waterproof and breathable. For fantastic grip, Ariat have designed the boot with Extra-luggy Duratread™ outsole. This combines maximum wear-resistance with comfort and flexibility making them great for a day in the country. The exclusive rubber compound outlasts traditional rubber and is extremely flexible for ergonomic performance. The moisture-wicking footbed provides cool, dry comfort and the gel-cushioned footbed with heel stabiliser delivers support, rebound and stability.
As with pretty much all Ariats, the sizing is generous so we recommend going half a size down on your usual shoe size i.e. if you are normally a size 6 we suggest you try a 5.5, we can always change them if they are the wrong fit.
